Abrahams Herberge

Welcome to Abrahams Herberge!

In the middle of the Holy Land, located at the center of the Christian-influenced town Beit Jala, lies Abrahams Herberge, an inn combining highly modern equipment with oriental atmosphere.

There’s much more to it than just the touristic destination – its history, charisma, comfort, and service make it one of the most demanded and popular inns of the area.

Being close to Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and in day-trip distance to the Dead Sea, its very convenient location makes it an ideal base for every stay.

Abrahams Herberge is so much more than a guesthouse: a modern hotel with a personal atmosphere; a house with a very special spirit through its partnership with the adjacent Lutheran congregation; an oasis of silence in a vivid and vibrant Palestinian town.  It’s a place where everybody can feel comfortable and at home. Here, you can easily relax after a tiring day of sightseeing and enjoy many encounters – alone, talking to fellow travellers and locals, whom you might have already met at one of the Lutheran congregation’s church services.

You’ll find that there’s a lot to see and experience in the surrounding area: strolling through the narrow alleys of Beit Jala, taking a trip to the Nativity Church in Bethlehem on your own or to the close-by Cremisan vineyard, and even trying out the bus to Jerusalem that stops right in front of Abrahams Herberge that takes you directly to the Old City’s Damascus gate regularly and in less than an hour.  Trips to Herodion or Solomon’s Pools can be organized, as well as detailed visits to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. We’re also glad to set up encounters with local, Palestinian families.

We’re looking forward to your visit, whether you’re travelling in a large group, with some friends, or as an individual guest.  No matter where you’re from, which religion or ideology you belong to – you are most welcome at any time!
